Meanwhile, those of you (quite a few of you) who are waiting for your package — you should have it sometime next week.  Due to the unplanned increase in workload the last few weeks, it’s taken me longer to get all your stuff packed and labeled.  But I am getting there… thank you for bearing with me!

Today I am happy to share with a new child-themed fabric line that has shipped to shops, Color and Count by Windham.  You simply have to see this AMAZINGLY cute fabric line. Click here to view all the fabrics in this line.   You can see here I divided the fabrics into groups of blue and red.

Check out your local quilt shops if they carry the fabrics here.  Otherwise, you can order the fabrics directly from Fabric Shack here.  My personal favorite fabric from this group is the hot air balloon print!

  1. Elephant Walk is adorable! It makes me smile. I also love Get Happy. Your designs are just wonderful!

  2. Since I just had such a lovely win, please don’t put my name in this draw. But I am waiting on some ordered Disney Princess fabrics/panel to arrive to make a special quilt. One of my grandson’s classmates was just in a lawn mower accident and had to have a leg amputated. She loves all the Disney Princesses – so I hope this will wrap her in smiles, hugs, and hope on her long road to recovery.

  3. Elephant walk. I adopted two new fur babies this afternoon. They deserve quilts, don’t you think? If not, I guess I could go rummage up the makin’s in my quilting studio. Thanks to you and Wyndham for the opportunity.

  4. Love the elephant walk. My son has a big interest in saving the elephants in their habitat. Too bad he is too old for this quilt!

  5. I think I like Scrappy Jewels because it is a great pattern to show off fun fabrics. But Elephant Walk is definitely cute as well!

  6. I love the Get Happy Quilt the first in line… Love the Border and the Stars… Bright and Cheerful…! !

  7. Great kids quilts! I’m hard pressed to choose a favorite between the elephants and the 16 patch stars! They are both so bright and cheerful!

  8. I love all of the children’s quilts. I am fond of Hoppity Hop, it is so cute and playful. Great work Wendy!

  9. Oh wow, that is a hard choice to make. My favorite was narrowed down to the color of the fabrics you used, so Elephant Walk is my choice. It is so perfectly girlish and my daughter has always loved Pink. But each quilt is wonderful for a kid quilt. Thank you for having this great give away and for inspiring me. Have a wonderful creative day!

  10. My favourite is Elephant Walk… It is precious!!! Thank you for the chance to win some fabulous fabrics from Windham!!

  11. Elephant Walk is hands down my favorite! These are super cute fabrics. I’ll be looking into finding a few of those fabrics at my local quilt shop. Thank you for sharing!

  12. Your quilt “Get Happy” is so cute…I love stars & have recently been making tons of 16-patches so it is right up my alley! And the Color & Count fabric line is so fun. Thanks for a chance at a super giveaway–I’m crossing my fingers!

  13. Hi there, I’m interested in the magazine quilt trends winter 2013. I’m desperate to make the quilt on the front cover…..& sadly I’m not clever enough to tackle without a pattern. Are you able to suggest or help me where I could get the pattern. Cheers Sue Maxwell

  14. LOVE them all!! Especially Get Happy and Elephant Walk! Delightful! So inspiring and joyful!

  15. I love your Get Happy pattern & have most of the fabrics picked to make a little boy quilt. This would be perfect for him!

  16. All the quilts are kid happy. My favorite is Get Happy with all the bright and cheerful colors. A close second is Elephant Walk with the dreamy soft brights. Thanks for a lovely array of cute kid friendly quilts. Have a great weekend!!

  17. Hello, I remember having, as a child, a pink stuffed elephant and a quilt with elephants too>so cute! So Elephant Walk is my favorite! Thanks for sharing!

  18. I can’t choose between Get Happy and Elephant walk – beautiful work :) And those fabrics are gorgeous x

  19. Wow Wendy! I love all of your kid friendly quilts! Get Happy catches my eye because I love stars, and Elephant Walk is a very close second because my DGD is learning her animals and just mastered what an elephant says. LOL Thanks for the chance!

  20. Owl Be Your Friend is my favorite because it uses such large pieces of the fabric. With such adorable prints, I just want to see lots and lots of the little critters! Thanks for hosting this give away, and for sharing your talents with us.

  21. Thanks for your giveaway and all you share. Your designs and quilting are always such and inspiration. My favorite kid quilt is the Get Happy Quilt.

  22. All the quilts are beautiful but my favorite is the Get Happy quilt. The Color and Count fabric line is so cute.

  23. Elephant Walk is my favorite. Just makes me smile when I see it. Congratulations on the new fabric line. It’s really cute.

  24. Thank you for the chance to enter the competition, I just love the fabric designs and will definitely be making “Owl Be Your Friend”.

  25. My fav is Elephant Walk. I’d love to win so I could make that quilt for my first Great Grand due in Jan.

  26. I love the Elephant Walk Quilt. I actually found the pattern at a cute shop in Franklin, Tennessee on a trip. And I just found out grand baby #3 is coming, so that will be the new baby’s special quilt. Thanks for all you inspiration.

  27. I love “Get Happy” it is so bright and cheerful and would be a great way to use up small bright bits of fabric. Mind you, I just love all children’s quilts anyway. Must be something to do with the colours. I’m just a big kid at heart.

  28. I love your Elephant Walk quilt. The elephants are so cute and the quilt isn’t too “baby”-ish that it had to be put away as the child grows older. It can be made gender neutral, too. I like making bigger quilts for baby gifts and this is one I would make!

  29. Wendy – I think Elephant Walk is my most favorite – although they are all really cute!! I love the chevrons and the elephants and the beautiful colors of Elephant Walk… Thanks for all you do to make the Quilting World a better place – hugs….

  30. I <3 your Elephant Walk quilt, Wendy. It is so cheerful and would make any little one smile. As a matter of face, it made me smile, too! You bless those of us who follow you with your creativity in piecing, applique, and quilting and you are much appreciated.

  31. Your Happy quilt is very cheery and I also live whimsical Elephant walk.
Thanks for sharing, love the new fabric

  32. Hi Wendy. I love Elephant Walk! My children always joke that I have elephant memory (I remember things from long long ago) while they have fish memory (3 second memory). LOL
    Thanks for the giveaway.
    Sandra

  33. Hands down, “Elephant Walk” is my favorite of the kids’ quilts you’ve shown here! My daughter, stepdaughter and granddaughters all LOVE elephants, so anytime I find an elephant-related pattern you know I have to have it. Thank you for the opportunity to win some of these gorgeous fabrics, and thank you for your generous creativity in general!

  34. Elephant Walk is my favorite. It is so happy and has a little bit of piecing, a little bit of applique and can be used to create a lot of fun stories with a little one. Thanks for the chance to win these gorgeous fabrics. Cheers.

  35. I’m with the majority… Elephant Walk. The fabrics are so cute. I really like the counting fabric in Spanish and also the warm color pinwheels… oh, and the little animals. I see lots of quilts in my head from these… Thank you!

  36. Scrappy Jewels and Get Happy are really cute!! Love the design layout! Thanks for the giveaway! :)

  37. I adore Elephant Walk. When my daughter was born many, many moons ago, we named her Jamie Alison. Our son, then two, immediately called her Jamie Elephant. I guess elephant was a word he knew.

  38. OH my gosh Wendy; are you kidding? How in the world do we pick a favorite when, I swear about 90% of your quilts tend to be my favorites. Even with this list you have shown, I love two of them. I guess all I can do is give you what my favorite is and then the one that is tied for that #1 favorite spot. Those two are Elephant Walk and Get Happy. Ask me again tomorrow and I might give them again, but in the reverse order. LOL The elephants are always fun for kids because they love them, but then again, I love a challenge, and those tiny squares you used to create the stars in the other quilt would definitely qualify as a challenge, even after reading your post to correct the wonkiness in making them.

  39. HI, love the Elephant Walk; reminds me of my childhood pink Elephant and quilt! Thanks for sharing!

  40. Hi Wendy I vote for the Elephant walk, they are all very cute. But getting 3 new great grandsons and one great grand daughter this year . I Amy very busy making Baby Quilts. Conggrats on your many Ventures. From illinois
