Today we are making 2 blocks from the Once in Royal David’s City quilt – pages 21 to 24 in the book.
Here are my blocks:
You can mix in different fabrics for this block. I used 4 different greens and 2 different reds for each block.
You will also quickly find that the blocks aren’t difficult to make in case you want to make a whole bunch more to make my Once in Royal David’s City quilt!
I only used two fabrics in my original quilt. But this quilt design is perfect for using HST units you have saved from previous projects for a scrappy look!

Here is my block from the first two assignments. I am using Moda’s Chickadee Landing fabrics for my quilt. I will probably bring in other reproduction fabrics as I go along to make this quilt a scrappy quilt.
