We are almost coming to an end of our #pumppleSAL check-in #9. I have two more upcoming sewalongs in the works for you. The first one was shared HERE last week.

Come back on Friday for details on the second sewalong.

“A Pumpkin A Day” is my original quilt featured on the cover of Quilter’s World Autumn 2022 issue. This is a scrap friendly quilt — or you can easily use a FQ bundle that has a minimum of 15 FQs (or equivalent F8s).

Click HERE if you want to use the fabrics used to make the original quilt (shown on the magazine cover). They are from Moda’s Late October line.

Purchase the Quilters World Autumn 2022 issue for the pattern HERE if you aren’t already a subscriber.

Today’s assignemnt is same as last week’s. We are supposed to finish making all 20 blocks. I have to say, I am still a few blocks shy… I might have to extend my schedule for this quilt by a week.

Again, this is never a race… as you can see, life/work happened for me, and as a result I could devote as much time on these blocks as I would have liked.

I am using a mix of Windham Fabrics’ Rowan and Darling fabrics.

You may purchase Rowan Fabrics or a FQ Bundle HERE.

You may purchase Darling Fabrics HERE.

And here we are, 9 weeks into the sewalong. I hope you have enjoyed making your pumpple blocks! I am still on catch-up mode after being gone this past week.

Here is a quick glance at the schedule:

8/3 – Do a test block from start to finish! With a block that has many pieces, I always make a block from start to finish. That way, I am able to work out pressing directions and other details. Doing this will make construction of your subsequent blocks go so much faster. You may decide to keep this book, or not, toward the 20 blocks we will be making!

8/10 – Make (10) pumpkin or apple units, (9) if you are keeping your test block.

8/17 – Make another (10) pumpkin or apple units.

—> WE ARE HERE! 8/24, 8/31, 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28 – Complete (3) or (4) blocks each week until you have made (20).

10/5 – Assemble quilt top, and you will have a quilt for the FALL and/or BEYOND!
