These are three teacup and saucer sets done in the three colorways of RJR‘s A is for Anabelle fabric collection. Which would you pick? I am not normally a green person, but the green colorway is causing my heart to flutter…
Teacups and saucers have popped up at sundry times at Ivory Spring… because we are somewhat serious about teacups and such over here.
[Spode Delamere in a blue/brown autumn setting]
[Spode antique gilded unknown pattern amidst Benartex’s Silk Road fabrics]
[ Lomonosov Guipure among Russian-y things]
[Spode Sheffield in an English bookish setting]
[Mottahedeh Mandarin Blue in a traditional setting]
[Johnson Brothers Heritage White in a spring afternoon Chinese tea setting]
[Spode Blue Italian and Blue Geranium peeking from the china hutch]
[Royal Albert Lady Carlyle in a cottage setting]
Which would you pick out of this lot?
The green applique is my favourite too. Perhaps you need to go on a quest for an actual green teacup now…
I like them in this order:
1) pink
2) green
3) blue/purple it was hard for me to tell which color it was !
hope this helps
I think I’d combine the green and pink ones! Pink and green go together so nicely. But if I had to choose, I’d pick
pink first
green second
blue last
It’s impossible to pick for real, but since that’s my favorite shade of green it gets my vote.
The fabric in the Royal Albert looks like it was made for that teacup.
I like the green also – I think it’s the tad of pink that makes it so nice.
Green is my VERY favorite color, but this time I have to go with the pink. As a side note, I wish I was there to have tea with you.
The green is my favorite.
It is hard to choose since i like pink as well.
Oh dear, I’m not sure I can pick. If it were me, I’d probably use all three colorways in the same quilt. :-) If I have to say, I’m torn between the pink and the green.
Weel, you know that they really aren’t my types of fabrics but,of the three, the green would be my favorite. Now make up those teacups in brights and I’d be there!
I would put pink and green together, I love that combo. Now what kind of cookies was on that plate? They looked yummy.
oh my..tough choice but I love the pink…the green is pretty but the pink is so sweet and delicate…I would choose the pink for sure..blessings
I love …love the pink….
Blue has always been a very soothing color for me. However, the green looks delicious. But then, the pink is la-tea-dah! I wonder how lavender would be like…
I’m in love with all three, but the green you like is super cute.
As to your cups and saucers, the Spode Blue Italian sets my heart aflutter!
XO,
Sheila :-)
I would pick the green!
Boy, tough choice is right – but I think the green gets my vote, even though I adore pink! Beautiful teacups Wendy, I miss my collection – but only sometimes, as it was a pain to dust, lol!
I love the green teacups!! It caught my eye for some reason.
I think the green colorway is my favorite. The Royal Albert Lady Carlyle teacup is stunning! You have a lovely collection of amazing teacups.
I’ll have to side with my heritage and go with the Russian beauties!
Oh dear I lost my head. I like them all but I think in this order Green, pink then the blue.
Green’s my favorite. I think I like it because it would coordinate more easily with modern home decor. I also like the suggestions other readers have made regarding combining the green with pink in one quilt. They’re all lovely, though!
Those are sooo precious. My favorite is the blue, then pink, then blue. Love the stitching on them.
Fabulous work!
i am partial to the pink and white fabrics
it would be a tossup of the white and go tea cup verses
the pink ones. one could add so many accents!
In the stitched ones I absolutely adore the pink, but love the green with touches of pink as well. With the china ones — love the last one.
Oh the pink. Definitely the pink for me. And that wonderful Spode Blue Italian cup and saucer!
Like them all though the pink and green are great. Love all your photography – you may have another career there…as if you ever have the time !! :)
I like the green teacup but I love the pink. I just love the color pink. I also love the Lady Carlyle teacup, would love to add it to my teacup collection.
I think …blue, pink , green ??or green, blue , pink?? or..I love all colours! ciao Wendy, Monica
I love them all, I’d have a hard time choosing. It’s lovely in the blue or the green. You have some gorgeous teas sets and treaures, I love the silver spoon big time.
What lovely tea cups, I would also have a hard time choosing but I really lean toward the blue myself.
I leave you the gree teacup and I’ll take the pink one together with Lady Carlyle by Royal Albert, of course!!!
ciao, gloria
They all make me a bit swoony but I think I like the green best
I like the green fabric tea cup best (although the pink is a close second) and the spode antique gilded unknown pattern actual tea cup.
Fun post!

I have to tell you that I’m loving the fabrics and I’d pick all three lines.
As for the teacups. even though I collect them, I’m not sure if I like them in quilts. It’s not you, it’s me. I’m weird. I don’t even like Sunbonnet Sue or House blocks. But, I have to confess, that after seeing the pink teacup applique several times, I’m beginning to think it is adorable.
i like the pink the best, then the green but looking at the blue i think it’s cute that the little girl seems to be peeking over the rim of the saucer!!
GREEN!!!
I like the background of the Blue and Pink the best. All three are just lovely. Hard to pick just one but I’d probably pick the blue.
green all the way! :)
so cute and dainty
