The amazing story of the “Flying” quilt

My husband is the main contributor to this post today. He told me last night of the story of the “flying quilt” incident that happened practically in our own backyard. Well, not exactly right in our backyard — but close enough to where we live.

Basically, it is about the story of the retrieval a quilt blown and flown a distance of 100 miles away due to a tornado happened about this time last year. You can read more about it here: http://www.areawidenews.com/story/1505264.html

What a GREAT story. I am a sucker for lost and found stories.

All that said, it is always a good idea to attach a label with pertinent information on your quilt. One never knows when such information is needed. Document, document, document — I am inspired to get me a journal to write down things pertaining to my sewing projects!
