Hi Friends, how are you doing? I hope you have had a good week so far. Remember these scrumptious fabrics?
They are from Benartex’s new line Nesting Place. From Benartex’s website: “Nesting Place is a soft-rich collection that is a great nod to the beautiful things in life–sweet music, birds chirping, and the warmth of family, friends, laughter and love. Blooming flowers, scrolling vines, antique bird cages and a gorgeous damask round out the group. Also included is a damask stripe that lends itself perfectly for borders, in soft creams, pinks, and green. Nesting Place is perfrect for baby quilts, nursery decorations and even bed quilts, totes, dresses, curtains and other home dec projects.” Benartex is offering a free pattern using the fabrics, designed by yours truly. I am pleased to show you Pleasures and Pastimes, the silhouette version:
And the sans silhouette version:
Pattern instructions are downloadable as pdf here. Enjoy! :) I can’t wait to make my own quilt using this pattern! I am going to do the silhouette version.
I love the silhouette one better…that is the one I hope to make one day. I will add it to my to do pile… thanks for sharing..
The quilt is beautiful … both versions. Is this fabric actually in the stores now. I love it !
Thanks for sharing the link to your lovely quilt. This looks like a great fabric line.
I love, love, love that fabric and see a personal quilt in my future. The pattern is a perfect one to showcase the designs. Awesome! Hugs, Doreen
WOW! Beautiful! Almost too pretty to cut!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE the silhouettes!
Thanks Wendy for the pattern. Love this fabric!
Such pretty fabrics. I like both quilts.
Very interesting quilt–I really like the variety of shapes. Nice use of some beautiful fabrics.
Wendy, your blog posts always bring ‘music to my ears’…each one is a masterpiece :) Happy crafting, Jenny
Yes – the silhouette version looks very interesting and I look forward to seeing your progress.
So pretty, Wendy! And this fabric collection is beautiful. I’ve been kicking around the idea of making a small quilt for our piano teacher (if I ever finish the quilt I’m in hte midst of now!) and this could be perfect for her.
Beautiful fabrics. I really love the sheet music one in that line. And the quilts are very pretty. Thank you for the pattern.
