FREE PATTERN: Verde Runner/Banner

Hello Friends,  I hope you are doing well.   I want to thank you for your kind words on my Verde Quilt design.  It’s always nice for me to receive feedback, positive as well as negative.  Seriously, you can tell me when you don’t like something I share! :0)  I won’t be mad at you.  Click here to download the free pattern instructions for Verde Quilt.

I am happy to share with you today another free to use design — a smaller banner or runner project that uses the same Verde fabrics.

This runner/banner can be displayed horizontally or vertically.  I kind of like it as a vertical banner a little better!  Green and soft taupe — a  fresh looking palette, eh?

I hope you enjoyed your visit here today…. the snow/ice is clearly melting at my end!  My little family is happy about the slightly warmer weather.  Miss Baby never fails to ask if spring is here yet whenever we leave for school in the morning…

Later, Dear Friends!  You all take care.

FREE PATTERN: Verde Quilt

I am happy to share with you a free to use design I did for Quilting Treasures using their newly released Verde collection:

High Res_Verde Quilt

I was tasked with coming up with something a bit more contemporary with the really fresh looking fabrics from the Verde collection.  So, I went for the “text box” look to reflect the texting culture of our world, thus the “…” at the end of the text boxes.  [Side note: Even Miss Baby would ask me to “text an email” to her teacher to tell her teacher something!  I think sometimes I forget just how pervasive texting is in our daily life.  I am an absolute minimalist when it comes to texting, and yet my 5 year old knows about texting!]

Bamboos are currently vogue in our culture, as in bamboo batting in the world of quilting.  So, I went to the traditional Oriental bamboo frames (like the one shown below) for inspiration to frame the blocks, bringing the traditional to be relevant (somewhat!) even our texting culture. :)

I hope you like my Verde quilt design.  I can see each text box personalized in your version.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please allow me to thank you for your well wishing comments.  I am feeling much better, and just need to get back to the swing of things related to work.

I shall catch up with you later!
