Fabric Box Giveaway Winners & More Here we go… Box #1: Ellen Callo; Box #2: Melody Lutz! Congratulations, Ladies!! You will be receiving an email on how to proceed! :) THANK YOU ALL – for being so willing to help me destash! I am in the process of cleaning out more things. I just don’t know why, but my stash is ever growing, haha! I will be posting more giveaways next week. Stay tuned!! Editorial Feature You remember being introduced to Marmalade the pot belly bunny? This little stitchery wallhanging project featuring Marmalade is a free project I developed to support the embroidery floss collection I curated for Aurifil. You can order Marmalade Meadows here. So back to Marmalade… some of you might or might not know that the Marmalade stitchery designs are adaptations of my daughter’s (aka Miss Baby who just turned 9!) artwork. She was the one who first drew Marmalade for me. And I am happy to share with you the news that the second stitchery design, Easter Eggstravaganza just turned official in McCall’s Quilting March/April 2018!!! In Easter Eggstravaganza, Marmalade is seen decorating her little Easter tree! The magazine has full stitchery diagram, as well as instructions to make the pillow. It is on the newsstands right now if you aren’t a subscriber! I finished the pillow using Riley Blake Designs’ Dear Diary fabrics — the fabrics are just out! Be on a lookout for these darling fabrics. Something important to note — ALL Marmalade stitchery designs fit a finished 9″ x 9″ square. So, with that square, you can do whatever to finish the block. You can combine the stitchery from the free pattern upon purchase of Marmalade Meadows thread box with this current Easter Eggstravaganza and other upcoming Marmalade designs for a quilt or runner. Now, Marmalade is kind busy — rumor has it that she is preparing for Christmas 2018 already! Hey, no pressure there… she says! :) I think she also has a love of reading design in the works — because Miss Baby is quite the bookworm, and naturally, Marmalade is a reader too. *wink* That’s it for today…. I am rushing to get a quilt top finished. Playing catch up after being sick is no easy task for anyone! Later!!
Hello Friends, Happy October to you!!! We have had rain over here for the past few days, and are expecting rain for the rest of the week as well as the weekend. The chilly weather with the rain makes me want to just stay at home in my PJ’s, and do nothing! But of course, I am not brave enough to do my school runs in my PJ’s…. yet! Ha!
I am happy to share with you about Devon, another newly released line by Quilting Treasures. I had designed the following free-to-use pattern to highlight the Devon fabrics.
So what do you think of the green/purple color combination? And the paisleys? You know how I adore paisleys!!

Before I go, I have to share with you a couple of deals…
#1. So… I saw the following photo on dear friend Lynette Anderson’s Facebook page. You remember my Making Valentines quilt that was featured in McCall’s Quilting’s March/April 2015 issue? You may click here for more pictures of quilt details. So back to the following photo — I have gifted the quilt to Lynette earlier this year, and she now has it displayed in her house in Australia. I am so touched. You may still purchase the exclusive kits, now on sale here.
And that’s it for today. I just started on another project that needs to go out early next week. So I’d better get going for now. I shall catch up with you later!

Happy Monday, Dear Friends. I hope you had a good weekend, and your week has gotten off a good start! I am certainly enjoying the sun and slightly warmer weather where we are.
I am always happy to see quilts made with my designs.
Diana from Georgia made my Making Valentines quilt for her cousin. Diana calls her quilt Heart to Heart — I love that name!!! I love seeing the pink and red accents in Diana’s Heart to Heart. Diana’s quilt is quilted by Carrie Rebeiz.
Marty from California made a space themed quilt for a little boy name Shepard. I feel so honored because my last name is Sheppard! Marty adapted the quilt to fit Shep’s double bed.
Kathy from Wisconsin made Spiral Squared in all grays for her daughter-in-law Carrie to hang above Carrie’s fireplace. You know how I love gray!!!
Thank you, ladies, for being willing to share the quilts you make using my designs. And a BIG thank you to the editorial team at McCall’s Quilting for the opportunities to contribute – it’s been an absolutely joy for me to work with the wonderful people at McCall’s!
Have a great week, everyone!
Hello Friends, I hope you are well. 2014 was also a year I had a few first-time adventures/features in a few publications. I was most thankful for the opportunities, and my hope remains that my designs would in turn bless someone out there.
1. Hole in the Wall in Generation Q (May/June 2014)
2. Spiral Squared in McCall’s Quilting (January/February 2014)
3. Bird Watching was a subsequent feature in McCall’s Quilting’s July/August 2014
4. Owl Be Your Friend in McCall’s Quick Quilts (August/September 2014)
I would love to know if any quilt from this group that caught your eye, or if you had a debut adventure of any sort (doesn’t have to be quilty) in 2014 that you would care to share.
Thanks for stopping by, Dear Friends. I am actually going to lay down for a little bit before I continue working — I have had very little sleep the last week or so. Love you all!
