#pumppleSAL check-in #10

FOLLOW ME @ivory_spring ON INSTAGRAM IF YOU HAVEN’T. Instagram is where I best interact with quilters, and where I share the latest news!

We are almost coming to an end of our #pumppleSAL check-in #9. I have two more upcoming sewalongs in the works for you.

The first one was shared HEREstarting Oct 11 (next Tuesday!)

The second one was shared HEREstarting Oct 17!

It’s our LAST check-in for #pumppleSAL today! I have enjoyed seeing pictures of #pumppleSAL on Instagram. Do check them out if you haven’t. I hope you are still having fun pumppling along!

Complete details are HERE if you are just now finding out about the sewalong. Click HERE for check-in #1, HERE for check-in #2, HERE for check-in #3, HERE for check-in #4, HERE for check-in #5, HERE for check-in #6, HERE for check-in #7, HERE for check-in #8, HERE for check-in #9.

“A Pumpkin A Day” is my original quilt featured on the cover of Quilter’s World Autumn 2022 issue. This is a scrap friendly quilt — or you can easily use a FQ bundle that has a minimum of 15 FQs (or equivalent F8s).

Click HERE if you want to use the fabrics used to make the original quilt (shown on the magazine cover). They are from Moda’s Late October line.

Purchase the Quilters World Autumn 2022 issue for the pattern HERE if you aren’t already a subscriber.

Today’s assignment is to finish up the quilt top — and be DONE!

Again, this is never a race… well, I have three more blocks to go as my attention has been directed toward time-sensitive and work-related things. But I plan on working them leader and ender style while I finish up the more pressing magazine quilts I have going.

And with that I consider that a wrap on our #pumppleSAL. Thank you for sewing with me. I will share picture as soon as I finish the top.

Here is a quick glance at the schedule:

8/3 – Do a test block from start to finish! With a block that has many pieces, I always make a block from start to finish. That way, I am able to work out pressing directions and other details. Doing this will make construction of your subsequent blocks go so much faster. You may decide to keep this book, or not, toward the 20 blocks we will be making!

8/10 – Make (10) pumpkin or apple units, (9) if you are keeping your test block.

8/17 – Make another (10) pumpkin or apple units.

8/24, 8/31, 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28 – Complete (3) or (4) blocks each week until you have made (20).

—> WE ARE HERE! 10/5 – Assemble quilt top, and you will have a quilt for the FALL and/or BEYOND!

  1. Your SAL quilts are all delightful. I am loving your recent Pumpple SAL quilt. I am excited to secure my fabrics for “Color Dance” and then begin stitching along with you. I also purchased Annie’s “Creative Log Cabin Quilts” as noted in your post yesterday. Your quilt will finally satisfy my desire to make a log cabin quilt and a house quilt, both rolled into one quilt. My sewing machine may be working overtime in the next couple of months 😂, fun, fun, fun. Wendy, thank you for continuing to inspire ❤️
