Hello Friends, it’s Tuesday again! I hope you had a great start to your week! Who loves a scrappy quilt? Who else loves a scrappy RED quilt? My TO THE POINT scrappy red quilt is featured in a new book called “TWO-COLOR QUILTS”. You may purchase the book HERE.

I did a quick mental count when I made the quilt. It has more than 75 fabrics in it

And that brings up my 2-cents for this week:

THERE IS NO MISMATCH WITH FABRICS IN SCRAPPY QUILTS! THEY FABRICS ALL END UP PLAYING WELL WITH EACH OTHER! Just mix them ALL up, and see what happens!

Now it’s your turn to share your 2-cents!

Of course, I am not going to leave until I have announced the winner from last week’s de-stash giveaway winner. It is Sandy!!! I have emailed you for details.

Don’t worry though – I have another giveaway coming next week. This time it’s for Christmas fabrics!

That’s it for now! I hope you have a lovely rest of your week.

  1. On New Years Day, one of our (3) local quilt shops offered a mystery quilt in person or by Zoom. My small quilting group met at our usual location and Zoomed to the shop/class. The pattern is a Hunter Star variation. I busted a big dent in both my red and whites drawers. Conversely, I make many blue and white quilts because Blue is my favorite color and, of course, my stash is full of blue. (I’m working on my Norfolk Sampler in blue!) (I use the moniker Karen Blue. I went to school with Karen Blue Evans. All her best friends always called her Karen Blue. Now it is me.)

  2. Totally agree that a multitude of colors work in a scrappy quilt. I recently made a quilt for a dear friend using a variety of batiks, many different colors. Some o the batiks were “ugh” by themselves. I also used a Bella white in each block. I love the way the quilt turned out. Very pleasing, very colorful.

  3. Beautiful quilt and great tip. Sorry about your Instagram account. I hope you get your original account back asap. I’ll be curious to learn what happened. I hope it wasn’t a hacker.

  4. Hi Wendy. I think your Instagram is hacked. Cos the hacker sent me a message saying my acvount had a complaint and i hv to fill up a form (with all my details).
I hv reported it to Instagram.

  5. That is a beautiful quilt. I agree that the more fabric quilt has, the prettier it is. So sorry you are dealing with these issues. They consume so much time to repair. Your new IG account comes up as not a valid user for me. 😑
