Hello Friends, I hope you have been well! The weather at my end has been simply gorgeous, and to the relief of my entire family, our rose bushes are blooming again! I started bringing in the “almost” spent blooms into the house to encourage further flowering on the bushes.
Because I have a small cutting area, I like to cut pieces from smaller pieces of my background fabric when working on a quilt. I generally work off a 1/4-3/8y of background fabric. That way, I don’t have to deal with a large length of fabric on my cutting table. Now that might mean needing more background fabric in the end, so I always factor in an extra 1/4-3/8y just to be safe. This little trick might come in handy for you if you have a hobbit-sized sewing room, like I do!
That’s my two cents for today — now it’s your turn to share yours!
