2-Cent Tuesday

Hello Friends, I hope you are well, and are enjoying the warmer weather!

I thought I would put the word out… Blue Beauties is a new quilt kit designed by me for Marcus Fabrics. You may purchase the kit from Keepsake Quilting HERE. The thing is Keepsake Quilting generally only carries a certain number of kits, and once they are gone, they are gone. Over the years, I have many write to ask where they can find kits designed by me that were previously carried by Keepsake Quilting. I always hate to disappoint quilters by telling them the kits were no longer available once Keepsake Quilting sold them out.

So, if you like design and want to make the quilt — pre-order your kit before the kits sell out.

Back to our regularly scheduled 2-Cents for the week — I always tell my students mastering the curves is the KEY to domestic machine quilting, even longarm too! ONE GREAT WAY to get the brain used to curves is to doodle curves on paper first, and lots of doodling on just a paper pad!

You are more than half-way there once you get the curves down! And that’s my 2-Cents for today. Now it’s your turn!

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Doodling seems to work out the” kinks” of what is to be stitched. It gets my brain and hand working together, making for better stitching 😊.

  2. this is a terrific idea. doodling circles on paper.
Funny thought, most times I “doodle” while on the phone making some doc appt for dad or refilling his pills, etc etc. my doodles are always pointy. I need to be more circular.
    Happy Wednesday Wendy
