Hello Friends, I am back again for 2-Cent Tuesday. I hope you are doing well. March is national quilting month, and I hope you are enjoying working on your WIPs, and even new projects! Here is a quilt recently returned to me from an editor – Sudley in Spring. This quilt is featured in a new Fat-Quarter-Friendly pattern book. You may purchase the book HERE.
My two-cents today will be short. It’s something I just started doing recently. I don’t know why I hadn’t done so earlier before.
Go ahead and label your BACKGROUND FABRICS (white/cream/neutral solids) leftover from projects because — there is white, there are snow white, cream white, parchment white; and there is also ivory white!
WRITE DOWN on your labels: Fabric Manufacturer and Sku identification.
For the longest time, all my leftover cream and white and light gray yardages were just thrown into a bin after I complete my quilts. While cleaning out my bin recently, I was overwhelmed by the various whites and creams that had accumulated over time with me not know what fabric is which.
I have a few go-to whites and creams, and chances are you do too. The good thing in labeling your background fabric leftovers is that you might accumulate various leftover yardages of a certain background fabric over time, enough to make an entire quilt without having to purchase any background fabric!
That’s my two-cents for today — it’s now your turn!
Have a lovely rest of the week. I will try my best to visit with you again before the end of the week. Happy Quilting.
