FREE PATTERN: Sunshine

Hello Friends, I feel like I have been living in a deep freeze the last few days.  I know many of you in North America are feeling the same way.  It was 16 degrees Fahrenheit this morning when I took Miss Baby to school.  I am a wimp when it comes to the cold weather.  So, how about I share with you my Sunshine quilt design, happy and sort of sunshiny?

High Res_Sunny Days

Sunshine uses stylized pieced sunshine blocks in Benartex’s Sunny Days / Sunny Bonnet Susie fabric line. These updated  30’s prints make the blocks look really sweet.  The patchwork inner border pieces are actually cut as strips from a patch print fabric.  I shan’t spoil it for you… so,

click here to view the entire fabric range.  You simply have to check out the patch print sku, and there is even a doll panel!

I hope you will enjoy making the Sunshine quilt.  I have had a bit of a sewing drama (am still in the thick of the drama) that I will share with you later! Thank you for stopping by.  Take care, and hugs to you all!

  1. Rosemary B here:
yes, it is cold. Yesterday I took mom and dad to the dentist (mom’s tooth) when we left, the wind was incredible. I told them to pretend we lived in Siberia, and today was a heatwave.
I love this pattern, Wendy. This is beautiful and thank you so much for sharing it.
Maybe I could make one block and make a hanging thingy for mom and dads door at Ashby Ponds.
Stay warm…. I saw a graphic from Topper Shutt the weather guy…. it looked daunting.
I am so glad our neighbors up the street (with the strong son living at home) just bought a snow blower. We have already guaranteed them the services for generous payment

  2. Fun free pattern! What a fun Spring pattern. Oops, I’m already passing up Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It’s been mighty cold here too……..29 last night. Sun was out today though……… Talk about cold, we are headed to WI for Thanksgiving……brrrrrrr
