A Mother’s Love: Final Peek

Hello Friends!  I hope your week has gone well for you.  I have been in a scrambling and panic mode this week.    But all’s well that ends well… I managed to sign off on a couple of things, including A Mother’s Love.  I had the greatest time quilting A Mother’s Love.  Here is a final peek for you.

You probably aren’t surprised by now sometimes I tend to end up working on small pieces.

Curios mind wants to know if you care to share with us any tips on working with small applique pieces.

Thanks for stopping by!  I shall catch up with you later.  I am starting to respond to emails/comments – yay!  Hugs to you all.

  1. The only small pieces I applique are wool…no turning and only by hand. Enjoy it. I have probably asked before but you do machine applique and what kind of thread? It looks heavy.

  2. Rosemary here:
Happy Thursday Wendy. This is adorable. I can’t wait to see the whole thing!!
I just learned some new things today at quilt club, just by bringing in my projects.
Every one had good advice and instruction. so I feel a little bit smarter today

  3. I agree with many of the comments, it looks lovely. Soft pretty fabrics are perfect for the name, A Mother’s Love. Such a good, cozy feeling. Looking forward to serving the entire quilt. No small appliqué tips from me.

  4. Can’t wait to see the whole quilt…it looks lovely! I’ve only done fusible, laser-cut appliques…no needle-turned handwork for this gal! The “old” fingers just can’t do that sort of thing anymore!

  5. I guess I am not going to be much help either lol. I have a piece that I am putting together which is at the stitch down stage… and there is a LOT of pieces! Maybe I will have some insight later on lol. Love the quilting on Mother’s Love – beautiful as always :)
