Ladies, please send me your mailing address asap so that I can mail the calendars to you before the end of the month!

Meanwhile, I am under the weather — which I really don’t need at this point in my life…. but SPRING WILL COME soon enough, not before another round of snow/sleet we are supposed to get tonight, ha!

  1. Congratulations to the winners!! I have a friend who is making a trip this week to Mt Vernon with a group of teachers. She is looking forward to the visit. I think I will plan one for a warm spring day!! Hope you feel better soon. Stay warm.

  2. I kind of liked it better when we celebrated Lincoln’s birthday and Washington’s birthday separately (back in my youth, :-) ). But I do agree all of our presidents are worthy of honor.

I’m so sorry to hear you are under the weather. Hope you feel better soon.

Love that bird and nest fabric!

  3. So sorry you are under the weather. So glad that nasty weather is not coming to NW Arkansas! Beautiful sunny day with temp around 60! I have a granddaughter to be whose b/day is the 22nd and mine was the 12th. I’m a Lincoln girl! Get well!

  4. Hope you are feeling better soon, Wendy. Maybe a piece of cherry pie would make you feel better!

We are in the middle of getting 4-7 inches of snow. All schools are closed and we are being told to batten down the hatches.

    Take care.

  5. I enjoyed reading the post on Washington, thanks for that. Mt. Vernon is a wonderful place to visit. I have been lucky enough to go there several times. I was a chaperone when my children made the trip to D.C. I also accompanied my husband when he took 8th graders to D.C. while he was teacher. Mt. Vernon was always on the itinerary. On a side note, my husband learned that Washington used to plant buckwheat in his garden and then turned it back into the soil before he planted his crops. We tried it several times in our garden and we had the best vegetable crops those years. It worked like magic.

Feel better Wendy, it’s no fun to be under the weather especially when you have stuff to do.

  6. Sorry to hear you are under the weather. We are enjoying a quiet President’s day here. Hope you get better and that the storms aren’t to bad in your neck of the woods.

  7. This weather certainly has taken its toll but your “normal” schedule would do in most all of us!!! Take care, Dearheart!!!! And huge congrats to Kathy and Debby!!!! Hugs……SSAB

  8. Congrats to the winners!

George Washington is not only my favorite president, but my favorite American. What a great man he was!
