Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you are doing well. I am in the “to be affected by Sandy one way or another” area. We have had about 12 hours of non-stop rain. When I think of Sandy, I don’t think of the massive gigantic airflow pattern that is potentially destructive. Instead, I think of my friend Sandy the artist who has the sweetest disposition! A bit of sunshine would be really welcomed right about now, but it doesn’t look like the rain is going to let up any. I suppose a sneak peek of my Sunburst Melody will have to do! :) [Yeah, I know – pretty cheesy and lame!] Sorry for the VERY limited view of the quilt, but I don’t want to spoil it for you until the quilt is officially featured. You really don’t want to know how many hours of sleep I got in the last 48 hours in order to get Sunburst Melody shipped out before the wind really hits us. Wendy, I love the story about your friend, Sandy! Would love to go on a mission trip like that. Saw reports this morning that 500 Alabama Power workers had left to go to the DC area to help restore power. If you see any of them, give them a big hug from Alabama! I think its really neat how the different power companies pull together to help when something like this happens, have seen power trucks from several states when storms have hit here.
Hope and pray everyone is safe and that there won’t be much damage from this storm.
Hugs and prayers pointed right atcha over the Internet! My sister lives 1/2 mile from the beach in NJ and is choosing to ignore mandatory evacuation orders, which makes me sick to my stomache with worry. I hope everyone makes it through the storm safely! And your sunshine quilt looks SO interesting — I hate sneak peaks! I want to see the rest of it NOW! :-)
Your ongoing schedule is truly overwhelming! We all give up sleep once in a while for those special projects/events but you seem to do it so regularly!
