Merry Christmas!

Good Christian men, rejoice with heart and soul, and voice;
Give ye heed to what we say: News! News! Jesus Christ is born today;
Ox and ass before Him bow; and He is in the manger now.
Christ is born today! Christ is born today!

Good Christian men, rejoice, with heart and soul and voice;
Now ye hear of endless bliss: Joy! Joy! Jesus Christ was born for this!
He has opened the heavenly door, and man is blest forevermore.
Christ was born for this! Christ was born for this!

Good Christian men, rejoice, with heart and soul and voice;
Now ye need not fear the grave: Peace! Peace! Jesus Christ was born to save!
Calls you one and calls you all, to gain His everlasting hall.
Christ was born to save! Christ was born to save!

  1. Hi Wendy, and Merry Christmas to you and yours as well! It is finally here and it is wonderful. One of my favorite Christmas carols is “Of the Father’s Love Begotten”, especially sung by a male voice in almost Gregorian chant style.
    If you can find it, “The Birth of Jesus…A Celebration of Christmas” by John Michael Talbot is a beautiful CD of spiritual Christmas songs. you would love it. Very soothing and meaningful music. I like to play it when I am at the ironing board working on a quilt. Verse 1 words….
    Of the Father’s love begotten
    Ere the world began to be
    He is Alpha and Omega
    He the source, and ending He.
    With love from kansas…..donna j
