Vanity: Egg nog or no egg nog?

Hi Friends,

I hope you are having a great day.  I have been working mainly on designs in the last week and am waiting for a quilt to be returned to me, thus I don’t have anything physical to show you.  I think I will have time to finish Miss Baby’s Christmas dress in time for church service on Christmas morning.  I will spend the rest of this week running a few more errands, shopping for our Christmas Eve and Day meals, AND hopefully start on my next quilt.  That’s the price I pay for working free-lance, I try to work whenever I can.

How does the rest of your week look?  And before you leave, an important question… do you do egg nog or not at your house? I should dearly like to know.

See you tomorrow – I have a Thread Talk post scheduled for you!

  1. We do egg nog but unfortunately I’ve developed a real intolerance for it over the last couple years. I’ll serve it but I won’t drink it myself…

  2. Christmas rush is on!! but, oh,… it’s so much easier with grandchildren who are not here underfoot all day. But, treasure those days with your little ones, as they go so quickly.
Eggnog? yes, but I’m the only one who drinks it in my house. I love it with a bit of brandy :)
On another note: I love your blue Spode, Rebecca at the Well platter in your photo with the eggnog. I have that same plate ! and I love using the holiday Christmas plates with it for dessert. Have friends coming tonight and we will have dessert with those plates … MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

  3. Merry Christmas to you and yours. I absolutely love your blog! You continue to be so generous with your teaching, and of course you make fabulous quilts and quilt them beautifully as well.
As far as eggnog goes, love it! We tradtionally pour some as we are decorating the tree, and then i use the leftovers for making eggnog latte..that is my favorite way to drink it.

  4. We love eggnog, particularly my son who’s flying home tomorrow for Christmas! If there is leftover I use it in an eggnog cake recipe. Merry Christmas and many blessings to you and your family!

  5. My husband loves eggnog. Me, yuck!
I did buy him some the other day from Southern Comfort brand.
Non alcoholic Vanilla Spice Egg nog. I took a sip and it tasted like melted vanilla ice cream. It was pretty good because it did not taste like egg no.
Hope you can get everything done that you need to with out too much stress.
