Pressed Flowers (Un-named) Quilt: Sneak Peek #1

Happy Monday, Everyone!  I hope you are doing well.  I spent part of my weekend working on my Pressed Flowers quilt.  I don’t have a name for it yet, but the design is a bit more contemporary than my usual offerings.  Feel free to suggest a name if you have one. :)

This will be a super quick post as I am running major-ly late on all fronts!  So, I shall not dilly dally.  I will visit your blogs/respond to your emails soon! I am nosy though… what’s on your agenda this week, the week before Thanksgiving!

Hugs to you all!

  1. This looks like it’s going to be another lovely quilt! I really love your quilt in Quilters’ World magazine too and think it will be great for the hubby. I love the bear paw pattern.

Busy this week as we head into the holiday season! Lots of stitching to catch up on and many more errands to run……

    Happy week to you!

  2. Those colors are nice together — looks a little masculine.

I am hoping to get completely over a sprained back — it’s better but not back to normal yet. Then our church is having a special event this Saturday, and my oldest son is coming the next week for Thanksgiving!

  3. Love the prints and the color combinations. Hmmm…you asked what’s on the agenda for the week. Wednesday our middle son arrives for a few days. We are going to have our immediate family Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday night. Katie and I are tying up loose ends for our trip to North Carolina. Those are the majors with lots of minors in between!!
    Have a good week Wendy~

  4. I love this and it is very neat looking. As far as my week goes-no packing for the next 2 weeks. I will be cleaning, making menues out for 8 days for our family will be here The grocery list will be very long and a lot of grocery shopping, preparing some things ahead of time so I will not spend all my time cooking. We plan to go to Tombstone one day and Rich and son-in-law will golf so our daughter and 2 grandsons may shop. so I have got to get things planned this week and enjoy the 20-28 with kids. Happy Thanksgiving and happy cooking, too.

  5. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things after Houston, have several customer quilts to get done.
Since our son and DIL are having Thanksgiving dinner at their home, I’m going to relax and watch the games begin ;)

  6. The fabric is luscious! The points on the block are amazing. This week I am getting ready to host a sewing party at my new island house. Right now no furniture so plenty of room for our machines.

  7. I agree with Jenny, Keep “Pressed Flowers”. It describes the quilt pretty well.
Is this the one you are paper piecing? Anyways, it looks good both construction-wise and color-wise. perfect sharp points.

My Thanksgiving will be with my immediate family. From England, my son, DIL and my premie (2 pounder) grand daughter will be coming! I have not seen my little chicklet since she was born in June. Never got to hold her yet either. Our whole family is so excited to meet her. Then on Sunday will be her Baptism and the whole extended family will descend onto our home. She will wear her great-grandmother’s tatted 83 yr-old Baptismal gown for it.

Not much sewing will be done then. But when I do have a quiet moment, I will pull out the floral applique quilt blocks to work on.

  8. Oooh, I like it! This is a busy, busy week! Besides work, tomorrow night is November guild meeting, Wednesday is my 26th Wedding Anniversary and usual dinner out (fun!), Friday is guild sewing night, Saturday is TransSiberian Orchestra concert with my step-son and family (for his b-day) and Sunday is his actual birthday and out to dinner again. Whew! I’m exhausted just thinkg about it – and I have to get some quilting in there somewhere!!
