Double Flowers: Final Sneak Peek

Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you had a good week. Mine was good despite the fact that it was mostly work for me. I finished quilting Double Flowers (formerly known as “Pretty in Purple”). I hadn’t noticed that the name of the quilt was already thought of for me by the editor until I looked at the contract.

You probably noticed the straight lines I quilted on the quilt. I did that with my free-motion quilting foot, and a ruler! Look for more about that in a future Thread Talk post.

Thanks for dropping by. I always enjoy your visit. Take care, and have a lovely week ahead!

  1. I like the name :Pretty in Purple so it will proibably be called that by me from now on – no matter what! My apologies to the editor. LOL I love the shade of purple you’ve used and have added something in that color to my “Bucket List”. If I live to clear out my bucket, I’ll be a very old gal. Wishing you a good week right back atcha!

  2. Piano keys quilting? I will be interested in learning how you do that with the DSM. I do that hand quilting and it does look nice.
Can’t wait until we are allowed to see more of the Pretty in Purple Double Flowers! Like Sandy said…you truly do have a gift.
    have a good week, too!

  3. I love the colours, soft and pretty. I’d love to know how you did your piano key quilting. I have a ruler for straight stitching but haven’t used it yet.

  4. So pretty! Like Mary, I also can’t wait to see more about your technique with the ruler. Love, love, love your blog and ideas. Thank you and have a wonderful week full of pleasure. Hug to you and Miss Baby.

  5. Love the choice of fabrics! Really interested to read about the ruler technique! Have tried channel stitching(I think that’s what it was called) but it was so hard to keep the lines straight. Chris

  6. Looking forward to your thread talk report .. last time I tried FMQ with a ruler I nicked my finger with the needle. Not serious, thankfully, but it was a warning. LOL
