Doing and staring into nothing…

I mentioned to you a couple of weeks ago that I was working on an important project.  I am relieved to share with you that I am 99% done!  I hope to be able to share with you about the project when everything checks out.  Meanwhile, I am feeling a bit exhausted.  I think I deserve doing and staring into nothing for a little while…..

I had a quilt returned to me from an editor last week.  I hadn’t had time to take pictures of the quilt to show you.  Hopefully tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a lovely week.

p.s.  Oh, can you tell from the picture it is hot where I am at?!  I had forgotten how hot and muggy summer can get…

  1. Enjoy your rest. We are going away on Thursday so you won’t hear from me for a while. Although I will take my Ipad to check on you LOL. Happy to hear you are taking some down time. ;) Bunny

  2. You know that old idiom…”All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl”…so relax and breathe deeply. I bet a few days playing Peek-a-boo with Miss Baby will refresh your spirit. :)

Looking forward to seeing your project. Happy Tuesday! :)

  3. Yep – stare at nothing for a while. :D No kidding about the hot and humid! Florida just about did me in yesterday. Of course, it was silly to mow the law at 1 pm this time of year. . . Let me just say that porcelain floor tiles under a ceiling fan with the A/C on are GLORIOUS when one has a heat exhaustion attack!

  4. Kick back and enjoy a couple of days off. Staring is good. I often do that when I have my coffee in the morning.

  5. Take care of yourself Wendy. It’s wonderful that you are so busy with projects, but don’t let it get in the way of your health or your family.

  6. It IS hot and humid here in the Arkansas mountains. You would think it wouldn’t be, but I guess the mountains have to be six to seven thousand feet to feel drier… LOL. I like staring into our creek and watching the water ripple around the rocks and gurgle out of sight. Hmmm, guess I had better get back to business and do some more piecing or I will be down at the creek with my dogs!
Looking forward to seeing ‘the’ quilt.

  7. I’m so glad to hear you are taking some time for “you”. That’s very important.
Yes, it’s hot here too, So. Ca. , funny, when I was a kid, the heat was a “good thing” , but now, gimmie the 70’s.
    You have a great week,
    Charlotte D.

  8. Take time off to re-group and refresh, you deserve it though I sense it may be difficult for you to do as your mind is always thinking of what’s next.
