Spring Song Version2: Final Sneak Peeks

Hello Friends,

Spring Song Version 2 is finished! I had the greatest fun with this project. Here you can see the quilting around our little nest:

The amazing thing about quilting a quilt is that quilting gives a quilt its “personality”. Compare the before and after pictures:

Those are all the peeks I have for you until the project is officially featured in The Quilter. I have been away from my computer quite a bit – that’s why you haven’t heard from me. I will get to your comments and emails – meanwhile, keep them coming! Have a great weekend.

p.s. What is the weather looking like for you this weekend? We are told to expect a cold one… brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  1. Wendy, your quilting is gorgeous! I even looked at a subscribtion to The Quilter after seeing your work since I want some of your designs. One day in the near future I will have my own longarm machine and I hope to come close to quilting like you do. I know it will take time and LOTS of practice but you are a real inspiration to me. I cannot wait to see this quilt in its entirety! Thanks for sharing, Melody in Santa Fe

  2. As usual… I’ll again tell you what I always tell you! I LOVE YOUR DESIGNS AND YOUR WORK! That looks like a very cozy bird nest, somehow it made me homesick!
Weather had been cooling here at this side of the globe, we still get the sun, but it’s not humid and hot, it’d been windy and cooling .. which is really nice.

  3. Wendy – always beautiful. I have just cut out some applique to do… and i will try to do some of what you are doing – hope you dont mind my using you as a ‘teacher’ :) You are really the best. Do you change your thread to match uor individual pieces?

  4. You astound me time and time again. This will end up being my favorite!
We’re to expect a cold one too, colder even than this week, and two snowstorms – they may hit us, they may go around us. We’ll have to wait and see!

  5. Oh Wendy!! What’s left to say about this most beautiful quilt other than I am sure the whole thing is even more amazing than the sneak peeks!!!………Luv Ann J

  6. The quilting really sets off your design. And I love the bird nest….so cute. You have had a very successful year…congratulations and keep the designs coming.

  7. Wendy,
I love it but then I seem to love every thing you do! Your quilts are always so upbeat like a breath of spring. I really enjoy your take on life as it shows in your work!!
The weather is sunny but cold, no snow as yet but they say Denver might get some for Christmas, I can only hope cuz it doesn’t feel like christmas without it!
