Thoughtfulness from Australia

My sweet friend Natima sent me this picture from Australia (many thanks, Natima!). She found The Quilter with my quilt on the front amongst the other quilting/crafting magazines on the news rack:

It’s mind boggling enough to think that quilters in the other parts of the US saw my quilt when the magazine came out. Now my little pea brain has a hard time wrapping around the concept of quilters in Australia saw the quilt too! Is the world truly that small after all?

  1. That’s amazing that your work travels so far! I just saw your chili peppers quilt in a magazine yesterday — I was in the grocery store passing the magazine rack and saw several quilting ones. so I stopped a moment to flip through and see if one of yours was there — and it was!

  2. Yea! You are famous around the world, but I’m not one bit surprised, Wendy! :-)

I sure wish I had you hear to pick your brain about what to do about my table runners. I am at sixes and sevens trying to figure out what to do with them. Alas, I have brought out three different sets to try, and I’m not thrilled with any of them.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  3. Did anyone notice the price on the front of the magazine?
    $11.95

Overseas magazines cost a lot to buy in Aus and they aren’t always available.

Well done on getting a front cover pic.
