From the last time I posted about Baby’s birth sampler:
Here is the latest progress picture. You can see that my second motif is now complete:
I thought the stork with the pink bundle is the cutest (there’s no guessing as to what the stork had brought me!). The stork symbolizes parental love and filial devotion. It’s Germanic name (adebar/odebar) means “bringer of happiness”. Indeed, Baby has brought much joy in the Ivory Spring household. We only pray that we continue to learn to be better parents.
The swans are birds of love, also symbolic of purity:
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed these progress pictures on my Baby’s birth sampler. Have a nice day, would you? :) Till tomorrow.
Look at how beautiful your stitching is! Wendy, this is very pretty. I can’t imagine doing that kind of detail work, but you do an outstanding job at everything you do.
XO,
Sheila :-)
You’re making fabulous progress — it is going to be such a gorgeous keepsake for Baby!!
Very sweet. Reminds me that I need to work on the cross stitch project that needs some redoing. But maybe after we make the move to the new house I will have more time.
Just lovely Wendy! And very cute too. :-)
I love colors!!! :)
Wendy your work is amazing. I’m sure you’ll be a wonderful parent. The amount of thought put into this sampler is an example of a very caring person. Just trust in yourself.
I am currently getting ready to work on a bom quilt from Carol Doak’s yahoo group. It is hot here in Ma so my sewing is falling off.
You’re making so much progress on this Wendy! And don’t worry, parenting is a learn-as-you-go type job. Remember what Warren Buffet says – any child who is given unconditional love can’t go wrong. I would add consistent limits to that as well. You’re doing a fine job, dear girl.
sweet!
Learning to be a better parent is a life-long job, but I know you are doing a great job.
Very beautiful pattern indeed! And also nicely stitched. Excellent job! Clever girl!!!
