Good morning, my friends! I hope you are doing well.
Yesterday I had shown you a sneak peek of “Spring Nesting”.
Now, how about some sneak peeks of the project after it’s quilted? I really enjoyed feather-quilting on the tree. No marking, just quilt as I wished – very relaxing:
I have used straight lines in the other areas of the quilt to give a stark contrast to the feather-quilted tree:
To answer a couple of technical questions…
Hand or machine applique? Answer: Machine Applique.
What stitch is that? Answer: My Bernina 640E has a nifty buttonhole stitch under the quilting menu, stitch #329 on my machine.
Before you leave, do pop on over to:
Ellen‘s for just a bit…. she has some sweet bird shots, and
Vicki‘s… she has the coolest bird watching posts in that she documents the birth of different baby birds on her property.
That’s all for now. I hope you have some feathery fun today!
The quilting is fantastic and I like the straight line quilting with it. You are right it does add a nice contrast. I think this one will be a big hit.
Ahh…I think this quilt will be one of my whimsy favorites!!
I like the different quilting in different areas and the stitching around the bird.
PRETTY! :)
