Happy Birthday, General!
Henry Lee summarized the accomplishments of the General as “first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his Countrymen”.
The General was a most remarkable man whose life has inspired the lives of many, including a girl from Southeast Asia! May the legacy of the General live on…
Thank you for stopping by. I hope your week goes well. See you again tomorrow.
You know, there was a time when every schoolchild knew when Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthday was, but now that we have the generic President’s Day, I had forgotten that this was Washington’s birthday. He is one whose memory we should honor.
I’d forgotten this too! Sheesh, and I’m a homeschooling mama. How embarrassing.
BTW, did you know you’re a no-reply blogger? When you comment on my blog, I get an email, and if your email shows I can reply to your comment. Yours doesn’t show. If you want it that way, that’s good – but if you don’t, email me and I can help. alliehomeschool@yahoo.com To answer your comment, I would be honored to be on your blog roll! I’ve been trying to get you on mine, as I’m now following you, but blogger is being difficult – I’ll get it though!
Thank you for this simple reminder. George Washington was not only a great statesman, he was a man of God who honored the Lord in all that he did. Stop by my thrifting blog, as I have given you an award :-)
