A yo-yo detour

I took some time out from my regularly scheduled program (i.e., magazine quilts) to make these to go on some invitations:

I always love making yoyos – they are therapeutic! :) Stay tuned for the final product:

Thanks for popping by. I hope you have a lovely day. Stay warm for those of you are who are living in the freezer-cold weather!

  1. It is unusually warm here in WA and your bright yo-yo’s are looking so spring like! With all the seed catalogs coming in the mail, my thoughts have turned to gardening!
    Can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the little beauties! ;~}

  2. Those yo-yos are so cute. Are you making your DD’s birthday invitations? I am going to be at my DG’s birthday this weekend and I bought her a pink tricycle! Will post pic on my blog soon. You are such a lovely mom. I’m impress with all the dresses you made for her – Hugs Nat

  3. I recently watched a show where Nancy Zeiman showcased a tool manufactured by Clover was used to make yoyos. I haven’t broken down to purchase it yet, but it’s tempting. LOL

    Your fabric choice is making me think of spring, even though we’ve been having cold and wet weather the last few weeks.

  4. Those are cute. I can’t wait to see the final product.

    I am so glad to hear that the book arrived! I am wondering if all the snow and bad weather between here and there caused a delay. I sent two packages to CA at the same time before Christmas — one arrived before Christmas, the other not until several days after. Strange! But I am glad your package finally got there, and I hope you enjoy it!

  5. Those are really cute. I can’t wait to see the final product. And I’ve been sorely remiss on blogging lately (computer issues), but I just love, love your smocked dress in the previous post! Gorgeous!
