The Quilter Magazine – HOLIDAY ISSUE – Forever Christmas!

quilt festival

Good day, everyone! A special welcome to those who have stumbled on “Ivory Spring” through the Blogger Quilt Festival! I hope you enjoy your little visit here. Please leave me a comment so that I can visit you back.

The Special Holiday Issue of “The Quilter” is out! I have enjoyed browsing through it.

I love love love Christmas! My “Forever Christmas” quilt (fabrics courtesy of Red Rooster Fabrics), featured in the issue, expresses my sentiment perfectly. I always leave my Christmas decorations up as long as my family can possibly tolerate it. And when I am taking them down (finally!), I am always wishing Christmas would be forever!

Shown with my quilt here is one of my all-time favorite Christmas pieces – a Christmas pyramid from a German antique shop.

Even though I can’t leave my Christmas stuff up forever during the year, I do celebrate Christmas everyday in my heart… for the meaning of Christmas is forever remembered within me everyday! So with that, I bid you a MERRY CHRISTMAS! :)

  1. How cool to see it in print!

I do like Christmas decorating, but I do like getting my house back to “normal” in January and getting reacquainted with my things.

But I do believe in keeping Christmas in one’s heart all year! Merry Christmas to you, too!

  2. That quilt is beautiful! I also like the one on the cover – definitely need to pick up this issue. And I’m like you, I’d like Christmas up all year, but it should remain in someone’s heart all year long!

  3. beautiful quilting! :)

P.S. – you should take down *your* P.S. – Amy has said that any post that links to selling of any kind will be deleted.

    Cheers!

  4. Hi Wendy,
Another beautiful quilt. You really have some lovely ones. I love your start on the Miss Gwens new dress. She is a very lucky little girl whose Mummy likes to stitch – Sandra.

  5. Merry Christmas every day to you too! An awesome holyday to celebrate and your quilt brings just that much more light into a dark world…beautiful quilt…beautiful heart!
    blessings!

  6. I celebrate Christmas every day too! I leave my Santa collection out all year… my guest room has a winter-theme with a snowman quilt on the wall and pictures of Santa and a beautiful print of a polar bear. I also have over 50 Santa figurines on display. People enjoy the novelty of the room when they come to visit… especially at Christmas. I love your quilt… I need to make one similar for my guest bed.

  7. I get really depressed when I have to undecorate for Christmas too. My solution is to leave some things out like my porcelain village houses until winter is almost over. Then I have Spring to look forward to!

  8. What a gorgeous quilt! And, Merry Christmas to YOU too!!! I have to agree, Christmas is always in my heart. I LOVE this Season!!! I sing Christmas carols ALL year, seriously! Enjoy and thanks for sharing your holiday spirit. : )

  11. I am looking for the tree skirt pattern printed in the 2009 christmas Quilting mag. Done by Carol A. Horrell
I think she mentioned it in the 2010 Readers Exchange Sew and Tell. Can you tell me where to get this pattern
    Thankyou Maria
