In Progress: Quick and Cheerful Pillow

The quilt I have designed for Quilter’s World using the Once Upon a Christmas collection by Benartex has been more difficult than I thought. I have had to engage in some Math and geometry “work-out” pertaining to the quilt design before I can proceed with making the sample quilt:

To give myself a break, I indulged in a quick Log Cabin stuffed pillow project using scraps from my previous published work. The center square is a sample I sewed out when I was working on the Celtic Cutwork, and the fabric scraps are from the bed quilt “April Flowers” using April Cornell’s Portugal fabrics. April Cornell’s fabrics always bring me the right amount of cheer, and I think they go rather well with the embroidered motif:

This is the fabric I am using for the pillow back:

I have to go to the store to buy a pillow form, and when I do, I will show you pictures of the completed pillow. Have an “April Cornell” – cheerful day!
