FREE PATTERN: Everything’s Coming Up Rosey

Hello Friends!  It’s so good to have you visit again.  In the midst of this cold spell, and right about now, I am more than ready for the vegetation to come up “rosey”!  For those who are in the cold spell (again!), are you keeping yourself warm and cozy?

Everything’s Coming Up Rosey is another design I did for Benartex using their English Rosey collection.  The rosey print fabrics in this collection take on a contemporary feel in that it is more “Monet-ish”, and not as Chintz-liked as a lot of the rose print fabrics you see in the market.  Everything’s Coming Up Rosey kind of keeps up with the contemporary feel of the fabric line, and it sort of has a feel of optical illusion to it.  But if you look at it closely, it is just due to the coloring of the blocks. :)  So, no tricks, no illusion… just plain fun and simple blocks!

It’s Tuesday — and you know what that normally means (i.e., I turn into the designated chauffeur for Miss Baby).  BUT today, I am meeting up with the ladies at Mt. Vernon Chapter of Quilters Unlimited!  I am excited!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a rosey sort of day.

  1. So agree with you Wendy, we need vegetation!!! We have a wind chill advisory with chills of -35. Schools are closed again today! After the cold will come more snow. This quilt makes me smile and know that we are a day closer to Spring.

The Mt. Vernon Chapter of Quilters have a great website. What fun you will have

  2. Sounds like you had an awesome day!!!! This quilt would be so perfect for photo transfers (like a high school grad’s quilt??). You’re right the ‘frames’ are merely an illusion that is quite easy to create. I love that your patterns are so accurate and go together wonderfully. 42 blocks completed for “Stained Glass”. Some border ideas in my head!!! Hugs……SSAB
