Wendy — you are really amazing — this is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
They are both so beautiful.
This is beautiful, Wendy! So Christmasy! I have always admired applique quilts but have not yet “got around” to attempting one of my own. They taught how to applique shapes with machine satin stitch, invisible zigzag and blanket stitch in my sewing machine mastery class years ago, but the part that makes me nervous is how do you make sure everything is placed/centered perfectly in the block, and that no puckering happens if you’re doing a bigger applique than just those little samples we did? Doesn’t the fusible web stuff make the applique areas stiff and flat instead of puffy? I don’t expect you to write a whole tutorial on this, but if there’s a particular book with a method you like, I’d love it if you could point me in the right direction. And THANK YOU for sharing this beautiful pattern and fabrics with us!
My favorite fabric here is the inner strip on the top photo. Lovely!
I am so thankful you are okay. SO thankful. I’m glad you reported in to us. I was about to send out the cavalry!
XO,
Sheila
