It looks like sand. Tire tracks in the sand. just a guess. Maybe some water that had rippled through the sand also. What and how you come up with for ideas for quilting. our good.

I thought tire tracks in sand, too — looks like a lot of others thought so, too! Except I don’t know if it is forming an A there on purpose or if that is random.

What a bunch of beach babes we are, if we all think it’s bicycle tracks in the sand!! But yup, you could certainly turn it into a lovely quilt pattern! Enjoy the playground!! We’re in for more heat, so not much going on outside…weekend to be worse, they say. Wish Irene was headed our way…..we could suuuuure use it!!
My guess would be: automobile tracks in the desert.:) Does look like a “whole quilt” though.

Ok ~ I’m going out on a limb here, but my first guess was…tracks in the sand! haha! Just like everybody else.
But now looking closer, it looks like it could be some of that old crinkly velvety stuff that Victorian Piano scarves were made out of. Or Chenille, or some suede/leather kind of fabric? Ooooh, hurry and tell us, Wendy! I can hardly wait!
It does look like a quilt back, but I have a feeling it isn’t. Curiouser and curiouser!

I too think wheel tracks in sand. As to a quilt design, all that is missing are the pyramids, scarabs, maybe a treasure map, or Indiana Jones…..

Oh Wendy your a tease!…. is it textured parchment paper? that has tyre tracks on it…whatever it is it looks interesting anyhow.
