We are currently big on butterflies in the Ivory Spring household. Miss Baby loves to go outside and chase after the butterflies that frequent the butterfly bush outside. She calls them “barti”. So, working on these fabrics for a near-future project is quite timely. I will always remember Miss Baby’s fascination with “barti-es” when I look at the project in the future.

I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with my big project. I told my husband when that’s done, I am going to nap for 12 hours straight!
Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy your visit and comments. Till tomorrow.

Lovely fabrics – looking forward to seeing your big project
Barti’s – so cute
Such a lovely, fresh print. Very pretty!
Oh I love barties!
I love the fabrics. Looks like a breath of fresh air–Bartis and all.
A twelve hour nap???? Sounds great to me.
ooh, I just noticed the butterflies in the top two fabrics too! lovely
Those prints are sweet one of them looks like hand embroidered butterflys.
Those fabrics are so sweet. I love butterflies too.
The buttefly fabric is gorgeous! I’d love to make a twirly skirt out of it. ☺
Just wait til Miss Baby can stay up late…she’ll be all about the fireflies instead of the barti-es! Happy Wednesday! ☺
Wendy, your quilts are just so amazing! Do you have on of the newer machines with the 13″ throat space? Please tell me you aren’t quilting those intricate designs with the same 6″ of space that I have! What is the largest quilt you can do on your domestic machine? Thanks!
When my oldest granddaughter was very young she called butterflies “fee-fies” She is 11 now and still remembers when she called them that and just laughs.
Those are so pretty. What a sweet memory of Miss Baby.
Fabric is very delicate looking…like the wings of the butterfly. Love Miss Baby’s name for them. In our family…we refer to them as “Flutterbys”..
What sweet fabric!
Barti-es are interesting!
