…smock! The bishop is shaped and pinned on the smocking board, and spray starched.

All I need to figure out are the blues I am going to use. It always amazes me just how many shades of one color are out there when I try to narrow down colors for smocking. This is where my husband comes into the picture. He is great in deciding colors on Miss Baby’s dresses for me. So, as soon as he gets home from work, I will be able to start smocking.

Stay tuned for more pictures. Meanwhile, I am going to finish putting together my Autumn Stars. Quilting should start tomorrow on that quilt. Bye for now!

I would never have the patience to do this – loving those blues – can’t wait to see the reveal on this, Wendy!
Oh that looks like it will be so beautiful. Enjoy Wendy!
You are so talented–smocking and quilting–I can’t wait to see both–especially that little girls dress. So precious!
What a lovely little Easter dress you will create for your Baby! On another note, I received the newest issue of American Patchwork and Quilting and had to smile when I saw a favorite designer of mine has a table runner featured! Beautiful! I was fascinated by the use of silk batting to make the flowers stand up and puff, like trapunto. You are so very, very talented and creative! I love reading about your work each day.
staying tuned. it is going to be so sweet.
So many shades, but all of them pretty, Wendy!
:-}pokey
Oh my GOSH – that looks like it will be so beautiful – lucky Miss Baby!!
That’s funny. Sometimes I’ll know my fabrics are wrong, but can’t figure it out, and DH comes in a can tell me which one needs to go.
You are so creative….can’t wait to see it smocked.
Ohh..Wendy this will be a beautiful dress! Good choice the blue!
great day,Monica
Something I have never attempted, but have on my ‘to do’ list. Coincidence…… I had someone in the shop today talking about it
Do you need something special to mark the dots, and is that the fiddliest part? Happy crafting, Jenny
The Easter dresss is going to be gorgeous with the smocking. It sounds like you’re going to enjoy making it.
My most favorite dress that LittleGirl wore in her baby years was a bishop smocked in blue! I love the juxtaposition of dressing girls in blue.
Can’t wait to see your smocked creation. Happy Thursday!
that looks lovely…can’t wait to see it finished
Isn’t it amazing all the different shades and tints there are to any color? I’m glad your husband can help in the decision process.
Miss Baby will be adorable in that dress. I am in awe of all your talents!
