The number of years I have moved away from home equals the number of years I had stayed at home since my sister was born. Despite the fact that we don’t see each other very much, we have kept up with each other all these days. I am thankful for a delightful and loyal sister!
Life got in the way in the last few weeks — both my sister and I have just now gotten back into stitching “Ten Virgins”. I don’t know, I always find myself enjoying the process all over again whenever I stitch this piece… my progress isn’t sterling, but I did get started on the fourth maiden:
I asked my sister for some stitching deep thoughts. My sister, the “philosopher”, has this to say about her stitching:
“I just think that when I stitch the stitches stitch by stitch, I get to see the picture clearer with each stitches. Life’s like that too right? Each day, we get to stitch one stitch on our “picture”. Hopefully we’ve enough time to stitch a complete picture by the time we die.”
And this is her progress picture:
Please bear with us, I promise something a little different in the design after we get through these first five maidens!
Meanwhile, I hope you have a fine day!

Happy sewing – it looks great – both of them
Ahh words of wisdom from your sister.
You’re making me wish I had a sister! How lovely that you stay so close. Both your projects look amazing – such beautiful stitches!
Those are very nice. And maybe you could redo those cute little dresses you two were wearing in the photo. BTW – cuties!
Both stitcheries are looking beautiful. Aren’t sister’s great!
*hugs* I’m glad to have a sister like you too! Despite our completely-different-interests-and-attitudes, I still love you very much.
Ya! Maybe we should make replica of those dresses and wear them again!
Such a fun project to do together! And I like your sister’s analogy.
So this talent runs in the family! This is a neat project to do together, and she is so talented, too.
XO,
Sheila
Beautiful!! How fun to work on a project with your sister.
Both sisters are doing a good job with these projects. The pink one is great too. Can’t wait to see them finished hahaha!
Hugs
Natima
Beautiful — I love seeing the progress you’re making on these!
