A dear dear friend bought Baby the sampler chart I have been wanting to purchase to stitch for commemorating Baby’s birth:
I knew from the get go I wouldn’t do the pink color scheme. I wanted to do something a little different from the usual girl equals pink color scheme. Looking around Baby’s heirloom things for inspiration, I decided to pick the colors in Baby’s birth plate and porringer for the colors going into the sampler:
I also received this fabric in the mail. I have always used the tan colored linen for my needlework. I am getting adventurous in my old age. This linen is going to be used for a new stitch-along project I am doing with my sister. Do I need a new project? No. Would I start a new project so that my sister and I can build memories even though we are miles from each other? You bet!
That’s all the excitement in my life I have for you today. I hope you have a fabulous day. Thanks again for stopping by.

What an absolutely wonderful keepsake that sampler will be!
That’s going to be a wonderful keepsake for your darling baby! I really like the colors you’re going to be using for it. And saw your post on the McMansions Project. You’re really on the home stretch! You’ll be done in no time!!
I like the colors you picked for the sampler! Enjoy stitching along with your sister :0)
I like the colors you picked out for the sampler. So much nicer than the normal colors. I think it will be nice for you and your sister to do a stitch along, how nice. It never hurts to do something to help staying in touch, especially when you are miles apart.
Haha, did you get your sister into stitching too?
Do you and your sister do projects together long – distance?
I think those colors will look really pretty in that sampler, and what a fun project with your sister!
