ONLY!

Good day, everyone. Thanks for the positive comments on the Northcott’sTwilight Garden fabrics. Some of the brown fabric is being used for making leaves — 224 of them! As you can see, I still have 196 to go from the latest progress picture (note that I had to hand-baste the stems down because they are only 1/4″ wide):

I am more convinced than ever I must have had a screw loose when I was designing this quilt. What was I thinking? Oh, but that’s not the end — this quilt has a fancy schmancy border I thought would look with the leaves!!!! Vicki told me I’d better get busy. YES, I’D BETTER!!!! Except, I started a hand applique project for myself — and that’s tempting me every moment I am awake!!! What to do, what to do…?
Thanks for stopping by. I will have more pictures for you this week as I trudge through the product of my moment of insanity. Jokes aside, I think this is one of my favorite designs – despite the profusion of leaves I will have in this quilt.

That would make my head spin but I think you are up for the task :0)
Wendy, I’m sure it will be beautiful. I’m still working on my Schnibbles
All those 2″ squares!!
Well, if you weren’t good at applique before, you sure will be when this is done!
My sentiments, exactly! ;0) Oh boy, what have I gotten myself into…?
Wendy
The fabric collection is wonderful and the leaves look terrific. You will get through it all little by little and if you don’t take a little break from it now and then you will go crazy!
My, you must have a lot of patience!! I’ll look forward to seeing the progress on this quilt.
I can’t wait to see this finished. It will be gorgeous!! Taking the odd time out to do a little of your personal applique project will probably help keep you motivated!
Wendy, you are always up to something fun!
XO,
Sheila
I am always in awe at the precision of your work (sigh). It’s the perfect combination of art and engineering! And the colours are lovely, too.
This is going to be beautiful.
