I have a few new projects in the works. This is one of them:

It is the Sweet Nostalgia BOM from Dorothy Baker! I decided to do a bluework quilt instead of following the recommended color scheme. You know I am a blue and white dishaholic. The Spode Blue Room plate Dorothy gave me inspired the bluework quilt. After all, what kind of quilter am I if I didn’t have a blue quilt to match all my blue and white dishes?

I am having the greatest time working on this. I like the fact that I don’t have to deal with color change, and the beautiful design keeps me motivated to want to stitch and stitch…

Alas, this is a leisure project. So, I am having to ration myself along with my OTHER leisure projects. Now, it is back to work for me. I have a couple of magazine quilts that need to go out in about 2 1/2 weeks. So, I’d better going.

I hope you have a lovely day. Again, thank you for stopping by!

What a sweet nostalgic block it is! Enjoy Wendy!
Nice job on the block 1 of the Sweet Nostalgic BOM. I have downloaded the first block and was initially thinking of doing it as redwork, but I like the effect of using the bluework theme. In either case, it will make a cute block when finished.
Your block is going to look lovely. I keep thinking of doing it as redwork. I have the pattern downloaded and need to get some fabric prepped to use for it.
Hmm — deadlines coming up? Does that mean we go on the hunt for more amazing cross-stitch sites?
That will look so cute all in blue.
I relax when I do the hand embroidery too. I just did about 12 blocks for a quilt and have started on a different set. Your stitching looks great.
So neat stitches. I have no doubt you like blue with all the Spode Blue you have collected. Enjoy stitching – Hugs Natima
I just love redwork and bluework, and I agree, that if you have the blue and white plates, you definitely need a blue and white quilt. I can’t wait to see more of this!
