I came across these treasures in a cardboard box in my local county rural library — for FREE!


I was glad and all too eager to take them home for some loving. Am I going to read them? You bet! Right now, we are reading the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin:

Oh, I have several of those wonderful leatherbound books! I have enjoyed both reading them and having them on display in the cabinet of the secretary desk in my living room.
I have gotten some wonderful old books at “Friends of the Library” sales. One in particular was “The Works of Charles Dickens” from 1888. Six volumns and I paid $10.00 for them. (Dickens is one of my favorite authors!) Later, while shopping in an antique store, I saw the same set selling for $300.00.
