The Sunbonnet Sue blocks are frequently done in 30′s reproduction fabrics. My next project would seek to re-package Miss Sue in more of a romantic, soft, dreamy, and dainty way with the Sommerset Cottage fabrics from RJR Fabrics. The quilt will be featured sometime next year in “Quilter’s World“:

A sneak peek:

I had a terrific mail day! I received a beautifully baby-ish brag book (how’s that for alliteration!) from Ellen B with a color scheme that goes perfectly with the fabrics! Thanks, Ellen — you are a blessing!

Blessings to you all. I hope your day goes well for you. Won’t you be a blessing to someone else today?!

Oh I’m glad it got there safe and sound. I thought of your quilting when I saw it. Blessings…
The Sunbonnet quilt is going to be so sweet!
I love your Sue! Can’t wait to see it all done.
I love the beautiful soft colors you’ve chosen for your Sue quilt.
The threads are a perfect match too!
Hmmmm. A beautifully baby-ish brag book… and baby girl colors… did I miss an important announcement, or are you just having fun with the new quilt???
I love those fabrics! I have a shirt similar to the pink.
