… brrrrrr? Here is what we saw in the front yard when we awoke:

Our ice storm is probably not as severe as the ones up north, but it did leave many in our area without power. Fortunately, we live really close to the power company, and as a result, we only had about a 4-hour outage.

What is a day like this good for…. well, for me, it means getting ready to start on yet another magazine quilt (the Christmas one), and perhaps later, a bit of cross-stitching.
For those experiencing the cold spell – stay warm and SAFE!

Oh my, that does look so cold! Stay warm…
In my part of the state it wasn’t so bad…thank goodness! I was ready though.
Had the generator where we could get to it, filled up the oil lamps, found the candles and did all the laundry. It’s been my experience that when I’m ready it doesn’t happen – and when I’m not ready it does! blessings, marlene
They are very destructive but nothing is prettier than the sun rising behind a tree covered in ice.
I’ve never experienced ice like that…I know it’s very destructive…but some of the photos are so beautiful! Stay safe!
Oh my gosh, what a mess! We have ice storms like that sometimes in Michigan. Don’t you just hate it when trees are destroyed like that? YUCK!
Oh my, Wendy! Stay warm and be careful. We had a blast of bad weather at the first of this week, but not nearly that bad. I hate the ice storms.
